Dave Ulliott Set to Release Autobiography

He is one of the UK’s most gifted poker players, has soared to great heights on the poker circuit and is well known for his controversial comments. Now, Dave “Devilfish” Ulliot is revealing it all in a brand new autobiography due out this week.

Devilfish – The Life and Times of a Poker Legend is a title may sound a bit pompous for the average guy in the street, but there is no denying that the book should provide for an interesting read.

Before he became famous, Ulliot lived a life that certainly makes for book material. His world was filled with so much violence that he served a stint in prison. The book tells of an incident when the player lead a riot over a snooker game while behind bars and also when he tried to smash a skinhead with a 10 kg weight.

When he was released from prison, Ulliot would visit poker rooms in England’s North carrying a gun.

The book has received good reviews from those who were offered the chance to read it before the official launch this week. Poker pro, Vicky Coren wrote for the Observer: “The book is, like the man, fast, funny, scary, cocky, colorful, and I adore them both.”

Card Player Europe reviewed the book and said: “Ulliott’s book is a thrilling ride out of the darkness and into the light. He tells his story with his trademark, tongue in cheek humor and is effortlessly charming – even when it turns dark, violent, and is verging on the amoral.”

Ulliott has made no less than eleven World Series of Poker final tables. He has cashes of nearly $6 million and has participated in over 200 tournaments around the globe.
